Location, location, location. Interior designer Craig Duncan explains why he picked specific Myers flooring options for each of homeowner Anne R. Cowan’s five different rooms…

“In the room pictured above, I chose an indoor/outdoor flat-weave because we wanted a sisal/seagrass look without worrying about the care required with a natural product. This product wears well and is great for a family with children and pets. Moving over to the staircase, I really wanted it to make a statement. So there I opted for this beautiful wool, needlepoint material with medallions.  Over in the library, I wanted to not detract from the beautiful paneling, so I chose a subtler pattern. In the formal powder room (photo 4) I added a border to “dress” up the look. Finally, for the higher traffic area of the friends and family powder room, I chose an extremely durable indoor/outdoor flat weave.”
By keeping the location as well as style in mind, Duncan made smart, durable, elegant choices—all throughout this stunning home.
