Men laying new hardwood flooring

I’m so excited to share Atlanta Home Improvement’s Annual Kitchen & Bath Issue with you. It’s one of our most-anticipated and most-read issues of the entire year and a fun one to put together. The 2012 edition includes all the traditional favorites such as local kitchen and bath makeovers, kitchen and bath product picks and, of course, our kitchen and bath workbook and project planner. We dedicate a whole issue to these two rooms because they are some of the most remodeled rooms of the house, adding beauty, functionality and value.

You’ll notice a new feature on kitchen tips from Atlanta chefs that we hope will spice things up this year and add a new layer of inspiration and advice. Atlantans love their kitchens. That’s according to results from a local survey we commissioned from Homes.com, which reveals that kitchens—rather than baths—are the top priority for remodeling for a whopping 77% of respondents. So this new feature, which includes kitchen design tips and recommended recipes from three Atlanta area chefs, should be a delight. Thanks to the chefs, Gregg Willett Photography and Melissa Libby & Associates for helping us add a little more “taste” to this issue.

If a kitchen remodel is on the horizon, do not miss our newly updated kitchen and bath planner, which includes questions to consider, the latest trends and more results from the Homes.com kitchen and bath survey. You (and your contractor) will be glad you did your homework when it comes time to put hammer to nail.

Even if you’re not actively working on a kitchen or bath project, I’m sure you will enjoy the local kitchen and bath makeovers in this issue. These recent projects are all in the Atlanta area and represent some of the best kitchens and baths we have seen all year. All the photos from these projects will be posted on our website for sharing, pinning, etc., so be sure to visit us online at www.staging.atlantahomeimprovement.com, where you will also find hundreds of other before-and-after photos for more inspiration. Join us in celebrating kitchens and baths this month!
