This remarkable kitchen is definitely a reflection of its owners and their passion for all things European. The 21’ x 6’ room elegantly blends older pieces collected throughout the years from Europe with modern features like the beautiful Taj Mahal Quartzite countertop by Oldcastle Surfaces, Inc. and new (but time-worn finished) cabinetry by HMS Designs.
Two particularly inspired touches float above, in the form of the kitchen’s lighting fixtures. One is Progressive Lighting’s chandelier and the other is a hurricane lantern from Shepard Lighting featuring a metal frame painted to look aged. Accent lighting from The Home Depot was installed in the cabinets to showcase some beautiful collections. Another notable feature is the vent hood. From Tuscan Stone Mantels, the hood’s mantel was custom designed to echo a beautiful relief from one of the homeowner’s antique tables. This is a truly spectacular, truly custom renovation.
