Its a thing
the thing: shipping pallets, packing crates and more
Rustic is reinvented with this Emmerson six-drawer dresser by West Elm. Made from shipping pallets and packing crates, the knots and innate imperfections of the reclaimed pine characterize the dresser’s past life. Created to last, the weathered exterior, which features a water-based finish, will soften with age.
As a part of West Elm’s commitment to the environment, more than 25 percent of the company’s furniture is sustainably sourced. The dresser’s unfinished, reclaimed pine is certified to Forest Stewardship Council® (FSC) standards.

make it happen
Purchase an item from the Emmerson collection and join West Elm in making the world a better place. The brand first introduced its partnership with the FSC in 2012 by creating a mid-century nightstand made from sustainable wood. Since then, bedroom, dining and storage furniture made from responsibly managed forests have been created. The latest pieces from the partnership can be found in West Elm’s best-selling Emmerson and Mid Century collections.
